The brief
Banca delivers from 22 stalls at Braga’s municipal market every Sunday morning: fruit, vegetables, eggs, bread and cheese, about 900 baskets a week. Most customers order the same things every week with one or two changes, and the old shop made them start from an empty basket and scroll through 400 products. Stall holders found out what had sold on Saturday night from a spreadsheet. Banca wanted a site that remembered the basket, and a way for the stalls to say what was running out, before its third summer in 2025.
The idea
A Sunday basket is mostly last Sunday’s, so the home page is last week’s basket, line by line, with a plus and a minus on each and the week’s new arrivals beside it. Every Friday the stall holders choose what’s in season, photographed at the stall. Checkout is one screen, delivery slot first. Each stall gets a tablet view of what to pack and marks what’s running out as the orders arrive.
Last Sunday’s basket
Home is last Sunday’s basket, every line a stall’s price card with a plus and a minus, set beside the week’s photograph from the market.

In season
Every Friday the stall holders choose what’s in season, photographed at the stall that grew it, each on a block of its own colour.

Checkout
The delivery slot set huge, then the address and MB Way or a card, on one screen.

At the stall
A tablet at each stall shows what to pack for Sunday in numbers you can read from across the stall.

What changed
The new site went live in April 2025. Most Sunday orders now start from last week’s basket, and stalls no longer sell out halfway through the morning, because they see Saturday night’s orders as they come in.
